LITTLE CUBES_SPRINGTONE

For this one, I used a combination of my favorite Creamback (M65) and Greenback

(M25) 8-ohm speakers. These two are often discussed for their rich mids and smooth top-

end, but I found them to be quiet different when I started to really dig in. The Creamback

brings a fuller low-mid body and a more modern, balanced tone, surprisingly good for

modern rock and metal, while the Greenback leans into that vintage chime and mid-

forward character. And when combined, they gave me a wide palette to work with, much

bigger than I expected.

I experimented a lot with mic blending and positioning on this one, not just chasing

perfection, but deliberately not aligning mics perfectly to bring out different resonances of

the high-mids and take the control over the very high end of the frequency spectrum. It

was a really organic and fun process, and it’s those little quirks that make this IR library a lot

different from the rest in my collection.

It’s flexible, colorful, full of character, and sits easily in all kinds of mixes. I hope it finds its

place in yours too.
